newsletter print layout/basics:

 - rule #1
consistency, keep the pages within a similar theme.

 - rule #2
 using the right tools: applications, creativity. typically indesign and photoshop

 - rule #3
fundamentals are: color, layout, typography. these are the 3 things we will be judged on.
color: colour wheel, opposite and contrast colours, complementary colours
layout: creating balance
here is an example of a good newsletter layout:

the layout is consistent, the fonts used are appropriate to the theme of the newsletter, the colours used go well with each other: within the same colour scheme. the placement of the elements are even, it's very neat

create a newsletter in accordance to the audience, create something that attracts them
